Mark David Perry

SCREENWRITER

Mark has scripted television shows and movies, including House Sitter, Captive, and The Second Arrival, winner of The Golden Scroll Award Of Merit for Outstanding Achievement bestowed by The Academy of Science Fiction/Fantasy and Horror Films. He has also written the screenplay adaptation of V.C. Andrew’s Petals On The Wind for Chuck Fries Entertainment (LA).

He has authored numerous episodes of Discovery Channel’s hit television shows “How It’s Made” and “How Things Work”. In addition, he has written multiple episodes of the prestigious animation series “Jacques Cousteau Ocean Tales” and the internationally-acclaimed television series “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” seen in over 90 countries.

He has also written and co-produced commercials, marketing videos, and documentaries.

Mark has also worked as a mentor for the BSO / Rogers Script Development Fund Mentorship Program and as a jury member for Screen Nova Scotia’s The Last Draft Screenwriting Program.

Furthermore, he has consulted on screenplays for established writers, directors, and producers on such films as Funkytown, The Ultimate Weapon, and the Genie-Award-winning film Polytechnique, directed by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049, Dune Part One and Part Two).
